 These are the Civic Projectors

Alright well I got working on my projectors and so far they aren't going to fit with just the stock head light removed.

Removed the front bumper and the civic projectors still wont fit nowhere close. So tomorrow I'll start removing the projectors mounts from the headlight to see what sort of fitment we get than.

To make the projectors fit behind the fender you either have to cut the lenses or cut the inside of the fender like in the above pictures. We cut the inside of the fender instead.

So after trying to fit the projectors we know they aren't going to fit without cutting the projector housing. The lights measure 6.5" and the stock MX-3 lights are 5" so we cant put a 6.5" light into a 5" hole.
Alright well now we've put the re-bar/bumper back on and to make them fit your going to have to start cutting the projector housing and bottom part of the lenses.

As you can see we've marked a red line were it needs to be cut off but we actually cut it all off to make it fit right.

This is how we've cut the lenses and housing so far and it fits really well.

This is how the projectors are sitting right now. The hood isn't closed all the way to be safe. But the light still needs to come an inch back before we can throw the bumper back on.

We had to make another cut to the engine bay to make a better fit without having to make more cuts to the projector.

So you can see we still have a few small things to work out with the bumper and a bit more trimming to do on the light and we will be almost finished!

This is what it should look like when it s finished. The bumper isn't fit 100% yet because the light still has to go behind the bumper as you can see in the picture above these 2.

We now grinded a bit of the inside of the fender were I've circled it in the above picture and we are shaving a bit of the lip off the bumper/re-bar to make the lights sit even better.

Alright well here are photos of how we've cut the housing of the projectors so far to get them to fit as good as we have. Note they might look a bit "butchered" but that's because we haven't cleaned the edges yet or sealed them.

So we had to start cutting the bumper to get it to fit properly with the 2nd light mounted. If you see the yellow line that's the line we've been following to slowly cut off a bit at a time to make the bumper fit a lot more nicely.

Now you'll notice were your bumper connects with the the middle of your hood at the edges we cut a bit of the corner off so that it doesn't press so tightly against the headlight.
We only need to do a bit more small cutting to the bumper. We're just under half an inch from being able to put the bumper back on perfectly

Well here are the pictures of how we mounted the projectors Note we didn't remove the bottom projector mount (pic2) off the projector when cutting them.

So all is done now! I never wired the head lights in properly so if you want to wire them your going to have to figure that part out yourself. Or look it up on www.mx-3.com on the message board and see what comes up!
